Joypolis is a fairly unpopulated virtual reality arcade. It contains 50 VR machines, over 450 games, as well has some older video game consoles from the 21st century. Most residents of Manta are primarily focused on the creation of the space elevator and the monetary gains that follow, leaving little time for games. The few citizens that do play are consistent and come in once or twice a week to let off steam. However, with the widening wage gap, less people have been attending. The entrance fee for the arcade remains fairly low; however, their revenue has recently decreased due to increasing poverty levels. This has led the arcade to fall into a worsened state due to a lack of upkeep and staff to clean and fix the machines. Those of lower classes have also been known to resort to stealing parts from the arcade to sell for their next meal.
